SAP PP/MES Architect

Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP PP/MES Architect with deep functional expertise in Production Planning, Manufacturing Execution, and Quality Management. The ideal candidate will lead solution design for complex manufacturing environments, translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions, and guide technical teams through implementation and testing.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead solution design and architecture for SAP PP/MES in complex manufacturing environments
  • Configure and optimize SAP PP, PEO, and QM modules
  • Translate business requirements into end-to-end business processes and functional specifications
  • Guide ABAP developers on solution design, enhancements, and testing
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and align SAP solutions with operational goals
  • Break down business needs into clear development tasks and integration points
  • Review and validate architectural decisions related to MBOMs, Routings, and Serialization
  • Perform functional testing and support multiple test cycles across system landscapes
  • Ensure seamless PP MM and PP QM integrations
  • Drive results with a proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented mindset
Required Skills & Expertise
  • Strong hands-on experience in:
    • SAP PP / PEO / QM configuration
    • PP-MM and PP-QM integration
    • Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
    • Project stock with WBS elements
  • Deep understanding of:
    • Material Master, BOM, Routing (Plan) configuration
    • Serialization and Batch Management
    • Product rework / rework from stock
    • MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) processes
  • Experience in complex assembly manufacturing environments
  • Strong functional knowledge of Parameter Unit Effectivity (Aircraft build bonus)
  • Theoretical and practical exposure to:
    • SAP Project Systems (PS)
    • Network Orders
    • WBS Elements
    • PP PS integration via MA & IKs
Data Migration Experience (Preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with data migration (Master & Transactional Data) using:
    • LTMC
    • LSMW
    • S/4HANA Data Migration Cockpit
  • Exposure to:
    • SAP Data Services / SAP BODS
    • SAP Data Services Designer
    • S/4HANA Database
  • Ability to:
    • Investigate and resolve data migration issues related to BOM and Routing
    • Validate migrated data through multiple test cycles (BOM, Routing, Production Orders)
Technology & Platform Exposure
  • SAP S/4HANA (Preferred)
  • SAP Fiori Applications
  • SAP CAMS (Complex Assembly Manufacturing System) Nice to Have
Industry Experience (Nice to Have)
  • Aerospace & Defense

Project Experience
  • Minimum 2 3 end-to-end SAP implementation projects
  • Strong experience across Production Planning and Quality Management modules
