NOTES: The Project Manager is able to work remotely however they do require the person to be onsite during their first week for onboarding and then occasional as needed.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager with Banking Operations experience to join our team on a contract basis for a client in the banking industry. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in banking operations, solid technical acumen, exceptional soft skills, and a proven track record of successfully delivering projects. This role will require adherence to established processes and standards, ensuring the seamless execution of banking-focused initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management Excellence: Oversee and manage end-to end delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with established ePMO methodologies, processes, and standards. Experience with ServiceNow is highly desirable.
Banking Operations Expertise: Drive projects related to account creation, servicing, treasury/cash management, process improvements, and automation with a deep understanding of banking operations and compliance requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business units, IT, and external vendors, to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks while ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present comprehensive project updates, including status reports, progress tracking, and performance metrics, to stakeholders and senior leadership.
Qualifications:
Deep and recent experience in Salesforce and nCino for banking institutions is mandatory
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in project management within the banking industry, with a strong focus on operations, treasury, and process improvement.
A proven track record of driving projects to success with strong analytical and communication skills, as well as problem solving attitude
Proficient in understanding and working with technical concepts, including automation tools and
platforms relevant to banking operations.
Familiarity with Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO) frameworks, standards, and best practices.
Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects on time and within budget, with measurable results.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage stakeholders and foster collaboration across teams.
Skilled in using project management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Office Suite, or other industry-standard platforms.
Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certifications/programs are preferred but not required.
Experience with automation initiatives in banking.
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in financial services.
