Job Details

Title: Business Data Analyst

Duration: 12 months+

Locations: Charlotte, NC

Visa's: USC

As a Business Data Analyst, you will-

  • Support the architecture and engineering team within Capital Markets Technology, specifically for the Nexus application.
  • Assist with reporting, engineering, and analytics duties to satisfy regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise between technical teams and business-side teams to gather requirements.
  • Translate gathered requirements into user stories.
  • Perform data analysis and governance, including data modeling and ensuring data quality.
  • Ensure reporting is accurate and contributes to regulatory compliance.
  • Utilize Agile project management tools and methodologies (Agile, SDLC, SCRUM).
  • Write Functional Specifications Documents (FSD's) and re-engineer SQL queries into technical specifications.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience with Business Systems Data or Business Systems Design.
  • Experience in Capital Markets, especially working in and supporting Regulatory programs.
  • Good understanding of Risk concepts.
  • Proficiency in Data Analysis and Governance, including data modeling, ensuring data quality, and accurate reporting.
  • Business Analysis skills, including the ability to liaison between technical and business teams, gather requirements, and translate them into user stories.
  • Experience with Agile Project Management Tools and methodologies (Agile, SDLC, SCRUM), including JIRA and Confluence.
  • Proficiency in required software/languages such as Tableau/Power BI and/or Dremio, Python (for prototyping/analysis/development), and SQL (reading, translating, re-engineering queries) and MS Suit(Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Demonstrated expertise in re-engineering and optimizing complex SQL queries for performance and data accuracy.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement robust Python solutions for data analysis, manipulation, or automation within a business context.
