Role Summary:
Experienced PL/SQL Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining database applications and stored procedures to support business processes. Strong expertise in Oracle databases, performance tuning, and complex query development.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and scripts.
- Design and optimize complex SQL queries to support application and reporting requirements.
- Perform performance tuning and query optimization for large datasets and high-transaction systems.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions.
- Create and maintain database schemas, indexes, constraints, and relationships.
- Develop and manage ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and optimize code for performance improvements.
- Implement data integrity, security, and backup strategies in alignment with organizational standards.
- Collaborate with application developers, data analysts, and business stakeholders for database integration and support.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and deployment processes for database releases.
Technical Skills:
- Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, and database design
- Query optimization and performance tuning
- Stored procedures, triggers, and functions
- ETL and data migration experience
- Familiarity with tools like TOAD, SQL Developer, or Oracle APEX
- Knowledge of version control tools (Git/SVN) and CI/CD processes
