Position: Senior Structural Analysis Engineer
Location: US / Canada
Duration: Full-Time
Please note: Proficiency in ANSYS is mandatory.
Role Summary / Purpose
We are seeking a Civil Engineering professional with experience in the nuclear power generation industry to support advanced structural analysis activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and proficiency with specialized engineering tools. A solid foundation in seismic engineering and finite element methods is essential to support complex projects in a dynamic work environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis of concrete and steel structures using finite element methods.
- Experience with relevant codes is preferred, including:
- ASCE 4, ASCE 7, ASCE 43
- ACI 318 & ACI 349
- IBC
- AISC N690, Steel Construction Manual, and Seismic Design Manual.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Proficiency in seismic structural analysis.
- Proficiency in ANSYS APDL is required, including the ability to:
- Build detailed models
- Run static and seismic analyses
- Develop or modify post-processing scripts
- Experience with LS-DYNA is preferred.
- Programming skills (e.g., MATLAB, Python) are preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of concrete, steel, and composite structural analysis and design.
- Experience with AISC/N690 is a plus.
- Professional licensure preferred:
- P.E. for U.S. candidates
- P.Eng. for Canadian candidates
