Title: Aerospace Engineer 2
Rate: $73k - $90k
Schedule: 1st shift (6:30am/7:30am to 2:30/3:30)
Duration: Direct Hire
Location: On site 100% in Charleston, SC

Summary:

• Team (Flightline) focuses on the defects on the flight line of directive action and root cause and reporting that to leadership. Looking at data, looking at trends, reporting to deliver center director.

Responsibilities:

• Data analysis of defect trends and leadership/support of Root Cause Corrective Action and Problem-Solving activities.
• Identify and lead projects to identify root cause/point of occurrence and eliminate defects.
• Analyze engineering documentation to determine process capability and conformance.
• Perform and advise on root cause corrective actions to address non-conformances.
• Perform engineering change review and verification.
• Continuous improvement of quality engineering processes.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering and/or a Technical discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or Production Engineering within Aerospace or another highly regulated industry.
• 2+ years of experience applying Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) or other similar rigorous problem/analysis/resolution processes to engineering development and manufacturing/production efforts.
• 2+ years of experience collecting, organizing and analyzing data, summarizing findings, and developing conclusions.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience designing and executing a process control system
• Experience with database management/analytics tools & software (SQL, SAS, MS Access, etc.)
• Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard
