Description:
- The LAN Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of local area networks (LANs) across multiple locations, primarily in the US and Mexico. Proficiency in Cisco platforms is essential for success in this role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Configuration, management, and support of critical network devices to maintain a 99% uptime.
- Troubleshooting route, switch, firewall, and wireless issues to ensure uninterrupted network connectivity.
- Conducting root cause analysis of network issues and providing recommendations for improvements.
- Adhering to IT change management processes and protocols.
- Creating and maintaining quality documentation of local area networks to facilitate efficient troubleshooting and future enhancements.
- Demonstrating strong customer engagement skills with excellent interpersonal and presentation abilities, effectively communicating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and with corporate partners (vendors).
- Engaging with Level 1 and Level 2 support teams for efficient issue resolution.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Software Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in implementing and supporting network solutions with Multi-platform Cisco Routers, Switches, VoIP, along with CCNA certification.
