DevOps Engineer
The Opportunity:

Everyone is trying to "harness the cloud," but not everyone knows how. As a DevOps engineer, you're eager to develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client's needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to develop container management software to solve some of our clients' toughest challenges

As a Platform DevOps Engineer at Booz Allen, you'll be a part of a team creating, architecting and deploying a platform that will enable developers, data scientists, universities and research institutions to collaborate and create innovative and next generation data modeling solutions for the client. On our team, you'll use your Kubernetes and microservices based architecture experience to support developer, data scientists, and platform architects. You not only know the benefits of containerization and orchestration tools, you're able to translate those your customers using the platform. Using your DevOps platform experience, you'll use your knowledge and experience to rapidly deploy, manage, and secure the CDC Kubernetes environments using zero trust security practices that will support multi-tenant environments

You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience with architecting and deploying applications on Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • 2+ years of experience with container orchestration tools, such as Kubernetes, Docker, Docker Swarm, and AWS or Azure Functions
  • 2+ years of experience deploying Azure or AWS services using Infrastructure-as-Code technologies, such as Terraform
  • Experience with GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, CircleCI, or Harness CI/CD tooling
  • Experience working with Prometheus applications
  • Experience with log aggregation tools such as Splunk, Loki, or cloud provider solution
  • Experience with fluent bit or Open Telemetry (OTEL)
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes security constructs
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree


Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with provisioning and managing infrastructure and applications on Azure
  • Experience with writing in PowerShell, Python, Rust, Typescript or Go programming languages
  • Azure Cloud Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
