Job Purpose and Impact
The WWT Manufacturing Technology Engineer will apply process and project engineering techniques to assist in the improvement of Waste Water Treatment manufacturing processes and products. In this role, you will provide technical support, operations experience, continuous improvement techniques and project management skills in a plant support capacity to ensures safe, efficient and low cost plant operations. The WWT Manufacturing Technology Engineer will apply process and project engineering techniques to assist in the improvement of Waste Water Treatment manufacturing processes and products. Key Accountabilities
- Help manufacturing plant and facilities engineers with facility planning and design.
- Help conduct cost/inventory/production control and human factors studies to develop and implement plans for facility modifications and revise operating methods.
- Establish methods to maximize use of production facilities and personnel.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Understand and be accountable for monthly variable cost performance. Create the annual variable budget for the department.
- Work with the WWT Leadership team to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Use data analytics to improve process operations, increase output, and reduce costs.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.
- Waste Water Treatment background
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with operations data and design programs and applications
- Six sigma green belt certification or the desire to get a green belt certification.
- Lean certification or the desire to become lean certified.
- Experience and skills leading moderately complex projects
- Strong data analysis capabilities including continuous improvement experience or certifications
