Job Details

We are seeking a highly experienced Data Warehouse Architect to support Child Welfare reporting and analytics for a government agency. The role includes working closely with developers, DBAs, and business teams to design, develop, and maintain robust data warehouse solutions, ensuring timely and accurate federal reporting and actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and enhance the Child Welfare Data Warehouse to support reporting and analytic needs

Collaborate with State and vendor teams to integrate operational system data into the data warehouse

Develop ETL pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and consolidation

Create and maintain reporting solutions including dashboards, Business Objects reports, and visualizations

Work closely with users to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions

Assist in federal reporting requirements such as NYTD, AFCARS, and NCANDS
Train and support DTMB developers and business users in using Teradata and Business Intelligence tools

Participate in performance tuning, data quality assurance, and query optimization

Provide technical documentation and contribute to long-term data strategy planning
Required Skills & Experience:
Extensive hands-on experience in Data Warehousing, ETL, and BI reporting
Strong experience with Teradata, including version 17.20 or similar

Experience developing and supporting Business Objects XI 4.2 SP4 reports

Proven ability to create and optimize complex SQL queries

Deep understanding of data modeling and data architecture principles

Ability to work with end users and development teams to define reporting requirements

Experience in federal reporting (preferably in Child Welfare or Human Services)

Strong collaboration and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in public sector or government environments

Background in Child Welfare or related federal programs (e.g., SACWIS/CCWIS)

Experience delivering training or mentoring other developers on BI tools and warehouse systems
