About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Sr. IT Project Manager (Master Scheduler) to join the Enterprise Portfolio Management team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in project scheduling, planning, and coordination across large, cross-functional IT programs. This role is responsible for building and maintaining enterprise-level program schedules, developing templates and standards, and ensuring alignment across multiple project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Master Scheduler for large-scale IT initiatives within the enterprise portfolio.
- Develop, maintain, and track integrated program schedules using Microsoft Project.
- Collaborate with Program Managers, Project Managers, and key stakeholders to define, update, and communicate schedules and dependencies.
- Lead initial schedule creation, including timeline development, resource alignment, and milestone planning.
- Establish and maintain standard scheduling templates and practices for enterprise use.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of project schedules across multiple programs.
- Identify and communicate potential risks, delays, and resource conflicts proactively.
- Support both traditional Waterfall and Scaled Agile (SAFe) project management environments.
- Provide scheduling insights and recommendations to leadership for informed decision-making.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of Project Management or Master Scheduling experience in complex, enterprise-level environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project (mandatory).
- Strong understanding of program and portfolio management processes.
- Experience working across cross-functional IT programs with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with Waterfall project management.
- Knowledge of Scaled Agile (SAFe) methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the Healthcare (Payer) industry - highly preferred and a strong differentiator.
- PMP, PMI-SP, or Agile certification (a plus).
Additional Information:
- Interview Process: 2 rounds (1 onsite).
- Work Schedule: Primarily remote, with occasional onsite presence (~2 times per month).
