Jeppesen a Boeing company is Looking for an Experienced or Senior Aviation Technical and Regulatory Standards (ATRS) Aviation Navigation Data Engineer located in Englewood Co. Work with External and Internal Groups to establish industry and internal standards and requirements for the capture, use, and display of data in Jeppesen designated tools, products and services. Provide technical guidance through a variety of media, including internal specifications, tool requirements, data validation rules, etc.

Position Responsibilities:

- Represent Jeppesen in regulatory and industry standards committees, forums and working groups.
- Evaluates aviation navigation regulatory standards and sources and interprets their impacts to the origination, capture, use, and display of data in current and future Jeppesen products and services.
- Researches and designs complex and advanced aeronautical navigation products. Includes defining the requirements for use in the development of Jeppesen tools and products. This includes the ability to incorporate the appropriate industry standards, current tool capabilities, customer needs, etc. into the requirements to ensure quality releases.
- Advises on aeronautical database formats.
- Plans and manages complex or specialized aeronautical navigation product projects.
- Document and Process Customer Notifications to our internal and external customers.
- Interprets customer data requirements in the context of Jeppesen and industry capabilities. This includes documenting Jeppesen's product output capabilities for external customer consumption (i.e. Data Definition Documents, Supplemental Specs, Briefing Bulletins, etc).
- Provide advanced technical support for customer, regulatory, supplier, and industry inquiries.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Provides technical solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and creativity.
- Applies extensive job practices, techniques, standards, principles, theories, and concepts. Has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Recognized as a job expert within the department/organization.
- Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Completed work is reviewed for desired results from a relatively long-term perspective. May have responsibility for leading the work of a team.
- Guides the successful completion of aspects of major programs and may function in a project leadership role
- Represents the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects. Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
- Excellent ability to document and explain highly complex aviation navigation technical information.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree in technical areas related to aviation disciplines or equivalent combination of related training, proficiency and experience.
- Five or more years of related aviation navigation data management or information display experience.
- Five or more years reviewing and interpreting industry standards.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Seven or more years of related aviation navigation data management or information display experience.
