Job Title: JIRA Administrator
Location:
Remote (Canada)
Duration/Term: Long Term Contract


Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced JIRA Administrator with expertise in JIRA Software (Cloud), Atlassian suite maintenance, system administration, customization, and integrations. The ideal candidate will manage JIRA configurations, analytics, reporting, and integrations while ensuring system performance and process automation across CI/CD pipelines.


Key Responsibilities:

JIRA Administration & Maintenance:

  • Install, configure, and manage JIRA instances in a cloud-based environment.
  • Create and configure new projects, schemes, and assets based on business needs.
  • Vet, install, and upgrade apps, plugins, and integrations to optimize workflows.
  • Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate application upgrades.
  • Manage users, groups, access, and permissions, including training and documentation.

Integration & System Customization:

  • Develop and maintain JIRA integrations with third-party tools (e.g., Mural, ServiceNow, CI/CD platforms).
  • Ensure seamless connectivity between JIRA, CI/CD tools, and automation frameworks.
  • Debug errors and collaborate with Atlassian/vendors for issue resolution.
  • Recommend and implement appropriate plugins to enhance user experience.

Reporting & Analytics:

  • Provide analytics and reporting from JIRA and other integrated systems.
  • Maintain data integrity and assist in portfolio management reporting.
  • Generate user activity reports, optimize dashboard configurations, and manage usage monitoring.

Stakeholder Support & Ticket Handling:

  • Maintain and administer JIRA user groups, permissions, and security settings.
  • Support Mural administration and maintain user groups.
  • Manage ticket handling in ServiceNow, addressing issues related to JIRA/Atlassian products.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Expertise in JIRA Software (Cloud) administration & Atlassian suite management.
  • Strong experience in system configuration, customization, and optimization.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools integration and maintenance.
  • Experience in analytics, reporting, and data integrity management.
  • Prior experience in portfolio management processes is preferred.
  • Mural knowledge and scripting proficiency are desirable.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow ticketing systems for JIRA-related issues.
