Job Title: ServiceNow Developer (Data Migration)
Location: Dallas, TX and San Francisco, CA
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer specializing in Data Migration to lead and execute end-to-end data onboarding activities from legacy systems into the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL), ServiceNow Import Sets, Transform Maps, and CMDB data modelling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute data migration activities into ServiceNow across ITSM, CMDB, HRSD, CSM, or custom applications.
- Design and implement Import Sets, Transform Maps, Glide Record scripts, and custom ETL logic.
- Perform data profiling, cleansing, normalization, and reconciliation to meet platform and CMDB standards.
- Manage large datasets and ensure data accuracy, completeness, and referential integrity.
- Collaborate with functional teams, architects, and process owners to understand data requirements and mapping rules.
- Validate migrated data through audits, QA reviews, and post-migration testing.
- Optimize migration performance and troubleshoot issues related to data quality, scripts, or integrations.
- Prepare documentation including data mapping sheets, migration plans, and post-migration reports.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 4 8+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer with strong data migration expertise.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Import Sets & Transform Maps
- Glide Record & Script Includes
- REST/SOAP integrations for data ingestion
- CMDB data models and relationships
- Strong SQL, Excel, and ETL capabilities.
- Experience migrating data from systems like Remedy, Jira, HP Service Manager, Cherwell, or custom databases.
- Understanding of Discovery, ITOM, and CMDB reconciliation rules (optional but preferred).
- ServiceNow certification(s) preferred: CSA, CAD, ITSM, CMDB.

- Ability to manage large datasets with accuracy and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.
