- Serve as a technical point of contact for customer-facing escalations and infrastructure planning.
- Engage with application, database, virtualization, and cloud teams to gather requirements and align infrastructure solutions.
- Participate in customer meetings to understand pain points and translate them into technical improvements.
- Provide clear, proactive communication on issue status, RCA, and preventive recommendations.
- Collaborate with vendors (Dell, NetApp, Veritas, Rubrik, Commvault) for Projects, escalated support.
- Act as an escalation point for complex storage and backup incidents.
- Perform performance tuning, capacity forecasting, and root cause analysis.
- Create and maintain documentation: architecture diagrams, SOPs, configuration guides.
- Familiar with monitoring tools NetBackup OpsCenter, Rubrik Reports, CloudIQ, OnCommand.
- Follow ITIL processes for incident, change, and problem management.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple high-impact issues simultaneously
- Skills Required:
- Configure, provision, and manage storage across Dell PowerStore, Powermax, and NetApp FAS/AFF/FSXn platforms.
- Implement and manage LUNs, volumes, exports, and replication (SanpMirror, Snap Vault).
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and RCA of storage issues (I/O latency, disk failure, zoning errors).
- Manage Brocade SAN switches zoning, port troubleshooting, ISL setup, firmware upgrades.
- Plan and execute storage migrations, firmware upgrades, and DR rehearsals.
- Manage NetApp features like FlexVol, Flex Group, SanpMirror, CIFS/NFS share configurations.
- Administer Commvault, Veritas NetBackup (Master/Media server, policies, catalog management, MSDP, AIR). Understanding of NBITA is add on.
- Configure and manage Rubrik CDM SLA Domains, cloud archival. Good understanding on Indexing and Replication for DR.
- Troubleshoot failed backups/restores, ensure compliance with RTO/RPO and DR tests.
- Automate and optimize backup tasks using scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- Integrate backup systems with virtualization and cloud platforms (VMware, AWS).
- Perform regular health checks and backup success/failure reporting.

- 8+ years in NetBackup with Dell Data Domain administration (policy tuning, restores, cloud storage configuration).
- 2+ years in Rubrik CDM VM/NAS backups, SLA domains, replication and archival.
- Hands on work Experience in Commvault Backup Systems
- 5+ years hands-on experience with Dell EMC PowerStore, Powermax.
- 4+ years with NetApp ONTAP, SanpMirror, and CIFS/NFS architecture.
- Strong Brocade SAN fabric knowledge zoning, monitoring, CLI troubleshooting.
