Project Manager - Real Estate Software Migration (Contract)
Location: Remote
Duration: 4-6 Months (Contract)
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: $70 hr

Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate the migration of their property management operations from Yardi to AppFolio. The organization has been operating on both platforms but is now fully transitioning to AppFolio, with a target completion date of November 1st. This role is critical in ensuring the success of the migration, which includes approximately 15,000 units across 400 properties.
Responsibilities:



  • Serve as the primary point of coordination between client's internal teams and AppFolio's project management team.

  • Oversee project timelines, task delegation, and progress tracking to ensure milestones are met.

  • Facilitate meetings, follow up on action items, and ensure all stakeholders are aligned.

  • Collaborate with internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for Yardi and AppFolio to manage deliverables.

  • Identify and address project gaps and risks proactively.

  • Participate in adjacent projects related to data import/export and workflow development as needed.

  • Utilize ClickUp for project planning, tracking, and communication.

  • Maintain a functional focus; this is not a technical or configuration-based role.


Requirements:



  • Proven experience managing real estate software migration projects (required).

  • Strong project management skills including task delegation, timeline tracking, and cross-functional coordination.

  • Familiarity with Yardi and/or AppFolio platforms (preferred but not required).

  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with ClickUp or similar project management tools.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple moving parts.
