Position Summary:
A Technical Project Manager is needed to drive software delivery within the engineering organization of a technology-led manufacturer operating at national scale. This team builds and maintains a proprietary platform that integrates cloud-native services, IoT hardware, computer vision, payment processing, and real-time telemetry across thousands of connected physical sites. As TPM you will lead end-to-end delivery for custom software initiatives spanning microservices, APIs, and edge-connected systems. Working across multiple Agile cadences, you ll partner with engineering leads to scope work, manage dependencies, and optimize for speed, quality, and resilience. Success in this role requires more than tracking timelines it demands architectural awareness, sharp systems thinking, and a proactive approach to risk and ambiguity. Ideal candidates bring strong command of Agile delivery models, advanced Jira expertise (including workflows, custom fields, and reporting), and a track record of collaborating directly with engineers, QA, and product leaders.
Experience and Education:
  • BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience/field
  • 5+ years leading end-to-end custom software development projects
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects across SDLC phases (discovery to deployment)
  • Proven success working with cross-functional teams (engineering, QA, product, business)
  • Strong exposure to Agile, Kanban, Scrum, and hybrid models
  • Comfortable in unstructured environments with shifting priorities

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive execution of complex software initiatives across the full project lifecycle
  • Serve as a bridge between engineering, QA, product, and leadership teams
  • Translate business goals into actionable plans with realistic timelines
  • Own Agile ceremonies and adapt methodologies to project needs
  • Proactively identify roadblocks and make recommendations to resolve them
  • Track and communicate project progress, risks, and decisions with clarity
  • Champion Jira as a power user own workflows, boards, custom fields, and reporting
  • Contribute to backlog grooming, release planning, and roadmap discussions
  • Support internal stakeholders by providing context and visibility into active work
  • Conduct retrospectives and improve internal project processes
  • Collaborate on high-stakes initiatives, including payment processing and IoT
  • Provide input on strategic initiatives and technical planning
  • Guide team members by example, not just instruction
