Title: Senior Performance Tester

Location: Remote (DC/Maryland/Virginia (DMV) or West Virginia).

Should be comfortable for the final round in-person interview.

Terms of Employment
W2 Contract, Six Months (Likely Extension)
This position is primarily remote. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite in Reston, VA two-to-three days per month.
Candidates must be based in DC/Maryland/Virginia (DMV) or West Virginia.
Candidates must be willing to come onsite to Reston, VA for a final round in-person interview.

Overview & Responsibilities
Join the dedicated Performance Testing team at a leading organization as a Senior Performance Tester. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the stability, scalability, and reliability of critical applications. You will manage the entire performance testing lifecycle, from creating and maintaining automated scripts to analyzing results and providing actionable recommendations. Design, develop, and maintain robust performance test plans and automated scripts using OpenText Performance Center/LoadRunner and Tricentis NeoLoad.
Execute various performance tests, including load, stress, and scalability tests, and meticulously analyze the results.
Use performance monitoring tools like Datadog to identify performance bottlenecks and potential defects.
Collaborate closely with development and systems teams to troubleshoot performance issues.
Generate clear performance metric reports and provide data-driven recommendations to stakeholders.
Manage defects using tracking tools like Jira and participate actively in Agile project meetings.

Required Qualifications
5 to 8 years of in-depth, hands-on experience with both OpenText Performance Center/LoadRunner and Tricentis NeoLoad.
Proven experience using performance monitoring tools, with a strong preference for Datadog.
Proficiency with SQL and PL/SQL, and experience with databases like DB2 or MongoDB.
Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile processes.
Bachelor of Science (BS) in a technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering).
Excellent communication and analytical problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience performance testing applications in a cloud environment, particularly AWS.
Experience migrating test scripts from LoadRunner to NeoLoad.
Hands-on experience with other monitoring tools like AppDynamics.
Background in the healthcare or insurance payer industry.
