Job title: Product owner
Location: Atlanta, GA - Hybrid
Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid 1 week on 1 week offsite

Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience

  • Solid understanding of concept and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches in the processes of software development and delivery

  • Solid understanding of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from feasibility through to production

  • Solid understanding of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project

  • Strong written, oral communication, and social skills

  • Must have excellent planning and organizational skills, strong verbal, written communication and facilitation skills

  • Willingness to become subject matter expert for your applications and take ownership for its development and performance

  • Flexibility to adapt and plan for changing business objectives

  • Knowledge of Agile/SDLC development methodologies

  • Airline business experience, as well as business process re-engineering and/or extensive experience working with agile teams, is desirable

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Responsible for conducting sophisticated and detailed research of existing processes, systems, and desired objectives to meet the goals/intent of the assigned products

  • Work with Product Manager, and SMEs to prioritize feature development, based on the business value

  • Elicit and create initial epics/features and elaborating into user scenarios that clearly describe the functional and non-functional requirements

  • Deliver business requirements via artifacts such as epics, features, scenarios, acceptance criteria, process flows, wireframe diagrams, interaction diagrams, mockups/demos, etc.

  • Collaborate with a multi-functional teams inside a Scrum framework

  • Conduct work sessions and document new features, requirements, and strategies

  • Perform testing, track bugs, enhancements and ensure issues are resolved before promoting to production environments

  • Able to work on multiple initiatives and balance constantly evolving priorities

  • Use data and analysis to convey solution impact and to support process driven solutions

  • Develop business logic and critical metrics for incorporation into decision support models and tools

  • Construct problem statement including problem description and improvement measures

  • Drill down beyond the problem surface to understand root cause

  • Logically structure recommendations and supporting data to formulate a solid, logical and understandable business reason

  • Supply guidance to project planning and effort estimation within scope

  • Support the identification of risks and mitigation approaches

  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to develop and maintain internal customer relationships
