Oracle Techno-Functional Consultant

Texas (Remote)

Contract

Position Overview

The Oracle Techno-Functional Consultant will support and enhance Oracle applications by combining strong functional knowledge with hands-on technical expertise. This role collaborates with business teams to analyze requirements, design solutions, configure Oracle modules, and develop or maintain customizations, reports, and integrations.

Telecom domain experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities

  • Work with business users to gather and analyze requirements across Oracle modules.
  • Configure Oracle Fusion/EBS modules (Finance, SCM, HCM, Projects, etc.).
  • Perform gap analysis and recommend best-practice solutions using standard Oracle functionality.
  • Develop functional design documents (BRD, MD050/FDD).
  • Support SIT, UAT, and regression testing; coordinate user sign-off.
  • Provide functional and production support, including issue investigation and resolution.
  • Assist in period-end activities for Finance or Operations modules (if applicable).

Technical Responsibilities

  • Develop/customize solutions using:
    • SQL, PL/SQL
    • APIs, REST/SOAP Web Services
  • Build and support integrations between Oracle and external systems.
  • Troubleshoot workflows, interfaces, extensions, and custom code.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or equivalent.
  • 4-10+ years of techno-functional experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud or Oracle EBS.
  • Expertise in one or more Oracle modules:
    • Financials: AP, AR, GL, FA, CM
    • Supply Chain: PO, OM, Inventory, Procurement
    • HCM: Core HR, Payroll, Absence Mgmt
  • Strong technical skills in SQL/PLSQL, reports, integrations, extensions.
  • Strong documentation and analysis abilities.

Preferred

  • Experience working in the telecom domain (OSS/BSS processes, billing flows, supply chain operations, etc.).
  • Oracle Cloud or EBS certifications.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum environments
