ONLY W2 Job Overview:

hiring a Lead Python Developer / Architect to take ownership of core systems tied to product tracking and infrastructure. The ideal candidate is an expert Python developer with 3+ years of team leadership experience, strong architectural capabilities, and hands-on development skills in distributed environments. This is a highly technical leadership role in a collaborative, fast-moving team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of developers in building scalable and distributed Python-based systems

  • Mentor, guide, and support junior and mid-level engineers; conduct code reviews and provide technical oversight

  • Develop clean, production-level code using modern Python best practices

  • Architect and implement system integrations with non-Python APIs and services

  • Own end-to-end delivery: architecture, coding, testing, deployment, and performance tuning

  • Identify and resolve concurrency issues, threading bottlenecks, and latency concerns

  • Drive CI/CD best practices and enforce testing standards across the codebase

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams (product, infrastructure, QA) to deliver integrated solutions

Technical Requirements:

  • 100% hands-on Python development

  • 3+ years of experience in leading and managing development teams

  • Strong background in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

  • Deep knowledge of distributed systems architecture

  • Solid experience with concurrency, multithreading, and asynchronous programming

  • Advanced debugging, testing, and problem-solving abilities

  • Hands-on experience with system integration and API consumption

  • Ability to translate complex technical challenges into scalable solutions

Preferred Skills & Tools:

  • Experience with PyTorch (not ML-heavy but helpful)

  • Familiarity with Scientific Python tools: SciPy, NumPy, Pandas

  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes a plus
