Knoxville, TN | Director of Infrastructure | Full-time
We are actively recruiting a Director of Infrastructure for our client in Knoxville, TN. This is a direct placement opportunity that will require working onsite in Knoxville. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on to lead our technical support and engineering team, including Networks, Servers, Data Center, Telephony, and Cloud Platforms. This role is responsible for setting the technical vision, aligning infrastructure strategy with organizational goals, and ensuring the delivery of reliable, secure, and scalable technology services. Candidates with experience leading cultural and technical transformation, mentoring infrastructure teams, and developing strategic roadmaps are strongly preferred. Familiarity with service management frameworks and disaster recovery planning is also highly valued.

Responsibilities:
- Lead infrastructure teams across networks, servers, data centers, telephony, and cloud platforms, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and technical vision.
- Oversee infrastructure strategy, project delivery, performance monitoring, disaster recovery planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and service operations while fostering collaboration across IT and business units.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of leadership experience in an enterprise IT environment.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional technical teams and drive strategic infrastructure initiatives.
- Bachelor s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Valid driver s license and ability to travel locally as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Expertise in infrastructure design, implementation, and performance optimization.
- Strong background in strategic planning, resource management, and technical roadmap development.
- Experience with vendor negotiations, budget planning, and service delivery oversight.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
