Programmer/Analyst: III (Senior) W2 only

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for high-capacity individuals that will work under the guidance of our dev manager in order to assist us in creating best in class Enterprise APIs and the necessary Production Infrastructure to successfully provide performance, scale and reliability. These individuals might find themselves assisting in the following activities on a daily basis:

• Developing modern REST API's using Java Spring Boot, CICD, Cloud enabled services (Container, both on prem and in the cloud)
• Assist with system design / Business Analysis (server layout, availability, disaster recovery planning, production deployments etc.)
• Assist with software / Data design (Database Schema, Storage considerations, Data Mapping, Data Storage Efficiency, NOSQL Data Considerations, RDMS to NOSQL considerations, Flat file to NOSQL considerations and design related matters, API design including call signature, schema, business logic, data access, resilience, logging, supportability etc.)
• Assist with software delivery (Hands on typically, but also in an advisory or architectural role in order to Create server architecture, Create table layouts, Create highly available data resources, Create highly recoverable data resources, Configure highly performant data sources)
• Work on Kafka specifically with analyzing proper use cases, detailed Kafka environment setup considerations, enrichment and transformations.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related field or equivalent work experience

Required:

• 6+ years of experience in software development including creating and maintaining application interfaces between various data sources and applications.
• 1+ years of experience with DevOps.
• Strong Java development experience including experience with the Spring Framework, Eclipse, Maven and Gradle.
• Strong experience developing application interfaces (API) with Java or similar object oriented languages.
• Experience using any of the relational and non-relational databases
• Strong experience with an agile framework/methodology.
• Adept in building team relationships and partnering across organizational lines.
• Excellent collaboration skills, a positive attitude, high energy, strong interpersonal skills, and highly motivated.
• Expert in conceptual and analytical skills, demonstrating out-of-the-box problem solving skills.
• Able to see and articulate patterns and relationships between technologies, processes, business models and people.
• Self-starter with the ability to appropriately prioritize and plan complex tasks in rapidly changing environment.

• Preferred:
• Experience with Any Ledgering solutions
• Experience with REST, JSON, or SOAP web interfaces.
• Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment (CICD) methodologies.
• Experience with Chef, Puppet or other similar deployment automation products.
• Experience with Git source control management and web interfaces such as GitHub.
• Experience with Jenkins build management systems and automated testing frameworks such as Junit.
• Experience with Kafka
• Experience with any of the cloud technologies
• Experience with any RDBMS and non-relational databases like Mongo/Dynamo

Must Have

• 1 3 years of Project Coordination experience A good understanding of project lifecycle methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Iterative, Agile/Scrum) and project management processes and standards Excellent verbal and written communications; ability to explain risks and issues to various levels within the organization Highly motivated with strong organizational (time management, planning, goal setting, tracking, etc.), analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills High level of professionalism and confidence with the ability to build credibility and work collaboratively with team members, leadership, Risk, Audit, IT, and business partners Ability to handle multiple priorities and effectively prioritize, drive, and execute tasks to completion within defined SLAs in a high-pressure environment Strong business and technology aptitude with a willingness to learn
• 3 hands-on development experience on Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, REST, JSON, Micro Services, and incoming/outgoing file processing. Java version 8+ required
• Database concepts, Design, Solution, Hands on Spring DAO layer
• Kafka Concepts, Message transmission Publisher/Subscriber Code
• OAUTH, JWT Token authentication concepts, Systems communications SSO/SAML concepts.
• Requirements Understanding, Analysis, Design.
• REST Concepts & Hands on.
• Result Oriented Backend Engineer (Day 1 starter)
• SOA Concepts Message Definition & Handling Messaging Definition etc.

Nice To Have

• 3 years' experience in Performance Testing and application and infrastructure analysis using a variety of application, network, and infrastructure monitoring tools.
