As a key member of the Solutions Development Team, within the USMC's Infrastructure Services Transport & Communications (ISTC) Group, you will be working in an AGILE Team environment while supporting NIWC Atlantic Personnel with the continued modernization of the USMC's Enterprise Wireless Network.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Aruba and Cisco wireless technologies working directly with the Solutions Development Product Owner, Scrum Master, and other WLAN SMEs as part of a larger, multi-disciplinary Team.
  • Work with WLAN SMEs in an AGILE environment to plan tasks based on committed objectives and provide regular status updates to the Product Owner and Scum Master.
  • Work with ISTC Fielding Team Members to resolve production WLAN issues and plan for WLAN expansions that meet the needs to USMC personnel.
  • Work with Cybersecurity personnel to assist with the application/verification of Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) and Security Requirements Guide (SRG) checklists on WLAN equipment.
  • Interface with external stakeholders such as Marine Corps Cyber Operations Group (MCCOG), Network Activity (NetAct), and USMC Network Battalion.
  • Prepare, maintain, and/or review wireless design specification/development documents, test verification plans, and network boundary diagrams.
  • Develop and present wireless Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) to stakeholders at Engineering Review Board (ERB) meetings.
  • Work with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) to gather information as input to the development of long-term (5-10 years) wireless technology roadmap documentation that should illustrate upcoming changes in wireless technologies, which will assist ISTC leadership in planning for lifecycle sustainment of wireless components.
  • Provide input to annual Program Objective Memorandum (POM) planning of wireless infrastructure refresh/expansion.
  • Support the proper functionality of wireless systems in a local test lab.
  • Participate in various milestone events for wireless systems to include site surveys, testing, cutovers, and physical configuration audits.

Desired Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience working in an enterprise-level WLAN environment.
