Infrastructure VMware Architect
They need someone to operate at a high level...technical and leadership/SME to develop a "go forward" plan for virtualization/storage.
From the client recently:
Skills Needed:
- VMWare - top skill - 100's of machines, needs ESXi experience
- Wants someone to envision the future state of VMWare
- AWS is big too since they are heading in that direction for storage of the backup tapes (Amazon S3, AWS Cloud WAN)
- Linux is a big skill to have
- Disaster recovery (plans and testing experience)
- Servers, HP Blades, Hardware experience
- Data standards, Storage, Networks (must have these skills)
- Implementing Veam now, so that would be helpful
- Azure is a secondary skill set, but helpful
- Prefer local (just east of Allentown, PA), but will pay hotel expense a few times per month for someone who can drive in
- Interview - 1st with Manager, 2nd with the team, maybe a 3rd wrap-up call
