Location: Hybrid in Duluth GA

Job Summary

Senior network engineer who will be engaged in the implementation and support of routing, switching, wireless, and firewall solutions for our customer environments. The senior network engineer is expected to be self-driven, having minimal oversight from the practice s solutions architect, to have and maintain proficiency in their field, able to learn and adapt to new products and solutions, and to have strong communication skills in terms of diagramming and documenting network infrastructure as well as being an integral part of a high-performance and supportive team.


Responsibilities

  • Pre-sales evangelism, design, and supporting sales activities.
  • Supporting Statement of Work scoping and creation, writing applicable portions of Statement of Work documents, and supporting proposal activities.
  • Post-sales implementation / Solutions Delivery of projects, including documentation and knowledge transfer for customer s designated personnel.
  • Support of incidents / tickets escalated to the senior engineer level, assisting customers with trouble tickets and working to provide resolution.
  • Technical collaboration with colleagues to consult for design and support.
  • Demonstrate ethical conduct and establish good teamwork within the engineering team.
  • Exhibit excellence in communication, responsiveness, and attention to detail.
  • Mentor subordinate engineers where the opportunity arises
  • Collaborate on professional goals to set and be held accountable for expectations.
  • Achieve and maintain professional-level certifications for various networking solutions as needed for vendor partnership programs.


Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a senior engineer in their respective area of technology. Ideally 10 years of experience as a network engineer.
  • In-depth knowledge of the leading technologies in their respective field, including many of the following solutions:
    • Cisco Routers
    • Cisco ASA and FTD Firewalls
    • Cisco Catalyst and Nexus Switches
    • Cisco Wireless / Wireless LAN Controllers
    • Cisco Viptela SD-WAN
    • Aruba Switches
    • Aruba Wireless
    • Aruba / Silver Peak SD-WAN
    • Cisco Meraki Portfolio (MX, MR, MS)
  • Perform root cause analysis and diagnosis of highly complex networking problems.
  • Personable and able to communicate complex technology concepts in a relatable way.
  • Ability to create professional diagrams and documentation for the projects being implemented.
  • Demonstrable record of problem solving and using good judgement for operating in mission-critical environments.
  • Ability to maintain ethical conduct with peers, subordinates, supervisors, customers, and manufacturers.
  • Ability to perform well in a dynamic environment, working with potentially multiple customers within the same day.
  • Drive and commitment to results with minimum supervision.
  • Industry certifications (CCNP, ACxP) are beneficial but not required for qualification.
  • Must be able to accommodate a moderate amount of travel, anticipated to be less than 20%.
