RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has an enterprise client seeking a Software Dev Engineer IV in in Redmond, WA.
Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, implement, test, document and deliver on projects that include cloud-based distributed software applications and embedded systems development
* Assist in gathering and analyzing business and functional requirements, and translate requirements into technical specifications for robust, scalable, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture
* Own delivery of entire piece of system or application, and serve as technical lead on complex projects using best practice engineering standards
* Produce comprehensive, usable software documentation
* Participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation and travel for onsite troubleshooting or project launch
REQUIREMENTS:
* MS in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field plus one year of experience in the job offered or related occupations of Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related
* May accept Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field plus five years of progressively responsible experience in the specialty as equivalent to the Master's degree
* Experience in the job offered or related occupation must involve multi-threaded programming and distributed programming in Java or C++ on Linux
* Experience must also involve JDBC, SQL, and Object Oriented design and design patterns Requires availability for travel and 24x7 on-call support rotation
* Strong knowledge in hardware-software interaction, networking, familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS), language familiarity with RUST or C/C++, Java, and JavaScript, and Object Oriented design and design patters in a Linux environment
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
