Technical Support Engineer II opportunity with a leading Data Center operations team in Henderson, NV. This is a 4-month, fully onsite contract role. Duration: 4 Months
Location: Henderson, NV (Fully Onsite)
Pay Rate: $35 to $40/hr W2
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Normal Pacific Time Business Hours

The team s mission is to reduce or minimize damage to Data Center hardware by inspecting, testing, and repairing critical components to maintain the reliability of cutting-edge infrastructure in the data center environment.
This quality assurance role focuses on monitoring and minimizing damage to data center hardware. The engineer will support on-site leadership in managing and auditing processes related to the handling and repair of damaged parts.
Conduct inspections and spot checks across staging areas for proper handling, packaging, and storage.
Execute the damaged parts process including verification and quarantine procedures.
Identify and escalate hardware damage issues.
Support field campaigns and failure investigations (Excursion Support).
Perform DIMM testing and Post Package Repair (PPR).
Conduct special inspections and repairs of critical parts.
Execute Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) quick testing (~100 boards/week).
Verify damage for up to 100 parts per week.
Perform part repairs:
Clean thermal paste from CPUs.
Straighten bent connectors.
Replace missing components (CPU carriers, dust covers, etc.).
Audit handling, ESD, and packing processes at data center touchpoints.
Education: Bachelor s Degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
3+ years of experience in a technical role.
General knowledge of data center hardware components (e.g., motherboards, DIMMs, hard drives, network cards, optics).
Ability to perform first-level failure analysis (FA) on electronic parts.
Familiarity with mechanical defects in electronic components.
Ability to sit for extended periods performing detailed inspections.
Experience using inspection tools (stereo microscopes, ring lights).
Proficiency with PC-based data entry and reporting.
Ability to write process instructions/SOPs.
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
Ability to lift and handle medium to heavy materials.
Quality assurance experience in the electronics industry.
Background in troubleshooting and repairing server, storage, and networking equipment.
Proficiency in spreadsheets and database tools.
