RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's lifestyle brand client is seeking a Product Owner who will be supporting the back-office systems team in Sausalito, CA.
Summary:
We're looking for a hands-on, curious, and highly analytical Business Analyst/Product Owner to join our Back Office Systems team. This role is all about getting into the weeds-you'll dig into problems, ask smart questions, and work directly with stakeholders and vendors to keep critical systems running and evolving. The Product Owner will be diagnosing issues, gathering requirements, analyzing data, and seeing problems through to resolution. This is a great role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, -boots on the ground- environment and wants to make an immediate impact across ERP, supply chain, financial systems, and data integrations.
Duties:
* Serve as the link between business teams and technical solutions-translating needs into clear, actionable requirements
* Work closely with internal stakeholders, IT colleagues, and external vendors to support and improve ERP, supply chain, and financial systems
* Dive into user-reported issues: validate problems, analyze root causes, and coordinate remediation
* Author detailed business requirements, functional specs, and user stories
* Manage user acceptance testing (UAT), including participating in test plan development, guiding users through the testing process, and documenting results
* Lead and participate in cross-functional meetings to drive clarity and alignment
* Actively track project tasks and progress, resolve roadblocks, and ensure continuous forward momentum-while keeping stakeholders informed with timely and transparent updates
* Support training and change management for new systems or features
* While not focused on our retail website, this role will collaborate on cross-functional projects involving the web team
REQUIREMENTS:
* 4+ years of experience as a business analyst or product owner
* Experience in a retail environment with exposure to financial and supply chain processes - at least an understanding of a retail organization and an understanding of a retail business (concepts like a sales transaction, purchase order, how inventory comes from oversees & is stored in a distribution center until being shipping to a customer, how an order flows through order management system, etc.)
* Strong troubleshooting instincts and an eagerness to figure things out-whether through documentation, data, or asking the right questions
* Familiarity with SQL; ability to write basic queries to support your own analysis
* Experience working with data integration projects and formats such as JSON and XML
* Proficiency in creating business requirements documents, test cases and project updates, ideally with Jira
* Proactive; Comfortable diving into a new system, reading the documentation, testing things out, and figuring out how it works
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Able to translate complex issues into plain language for different audiences
* Highly organized with strong attention to detail
* Comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
* High degree of professionalism, integrity, and discretion
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
This job is not eligible for bonuses, incentives or commissions.
