Responsibilities:
- Concept of Operations formulation
- Requirements definition, analysis, and engineering
- System architecture and design
- Interface and data architecture development
- Validation and verification
- System integration
- Operational performance analysis
- Lifecycle cost analysis and estimation
- Decision analysis and resolution
- May serve as the sole systems engineer on moderately complex projects or as part of a team supporting larger, more complex efforts.
- Performs independent work in support of systems engineering tasks.
- Capable of delivering timely and efficient solutions to a variety of engineering challenges.
- May provide informal leadership or mentorship to entry-level engineers.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field from an ABET-accredited university
- Seeking 8+ years of experience with a BS degree, or 6+ years with an MS degree.
- Experience deriving requirements for complex electrical, electro-mechanical, mechanical, and software systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong communication skills within team environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Science in Systems Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- 2-4 years of direct systems engineering experience.
- Experience or working knowledge of:
- MagicDraw or other Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools
- DOORS or similar requirements management tools
- Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition processes
- Supporting DoD programs
