Halvik is seeking a mid-level Enterprise Analyst, who can work the night shift (10:45pm to 7:15am) and one shift on the weekend.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Support a 24x7 environment, providing on-call support as needed, with a high degree of responsiveness and sound troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Diagnose complex systems issues with multiple influencing factors.
  • Investigate monitoring alerts, troubleshoot, and engage the support teams.
  • Communicate the outage to senior leadership following approved guidelines.
  • Analyze alerts using tools such as Splunk, Sitescope, Qradar, and AWS Cloudwatch, Incident Manager.
  • Collaborate with support teams to track and escalate the issues as needed until resolved.
  • Participate in identification/fixing of problems within existing systems, design/implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing systems.
  • Participate in analysis, design, and new construction of next generation IT systems.
  • Responsible for understanding the needs of the customers and the capabilities of commercially available IT products and creating requirements that will allow implementation by the development team.

Required Skills:

  • Education: BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related scientific or technical discipline.
  • 6 years of experience of which 2 must be specialized in one of these areas: Network Administration, Windows Administration, Unix/Linux Administration, Software Engineering, or General Systems Administration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good understanding of networking principles and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Problem Management Process.
  • Experience with cloud-based systems.
  • Extremely proficient with Linux/Unix Environments and monitoring tools such as Splunk.
  • Broad understanding of Security Protocols including HTTPS, SSL, and SSO.
  • Must have solid technical background with a focus on IT/cloud-based IT systems.

Preferred Skills:

  • Network+ or Security+ is preferred.
  • ITIL-related certifications are a plus.
  • Systems Engineer on 1 or more IT platforms preferred.
  • USPTO experience preferred.
