Job Title: SQL Developer II (Only Local Candidate)

Location: Maryland Heights, MO (St. Louis) 4 Days Onsite, 1 Day Remote LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY Duration: 6-Month Contract (Potential for Extension)
Rate: $48/hr on W2 - no flex - or 50/hr on C2C -

Project Overview:
You will be supporting the DNA / Snowflake Migration Project, focused on transferring business-critical SQL queries and logic from a legacy Oracle-based environment (CSG) into Snowflake, Charter s next-generation data platform.
Position Summary:
The SQL Developer II is responsible for analyzing, developing, and migrating SQL code from Oracle to Snowflake, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure business continuity and performance optimization. You ll be expected to adhere to Charter s software development lifecycle standards, contribute to technical design reviews, and produce high-quality, scalable, and well-documented SQL solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate legacy Oracle SQL queries into optimized Snowflake SQL.
- Participate in the migration of data pipelines and reporting logic from Oracle to Snowflake.
- Write, debug, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and reporting teams to understand requirements.
- Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and technical solution discussions.
- Document new and updated queries, scripts, and data models.
- Perform testing and validation to ensure accuracy and performance of migrated solutions.
Qualifications:
- 2 to 5 years of SQL development experience, including query optimization and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and Snowflake (migration experience is a strong plus).
- Familiarity with ETL/data pipeline development and large-scale data systems.
- Strong understanding of relational database design, data modeling, and performance tuning.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience working in a structured SDLC environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience with CSG systems or Telecom/Billing platforms.
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines in a data environment.
- Familiarity with BI tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
