Product Engineer
Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Identifying and implementing enhancements to existing products to optimize performance and reliability
• Collaborating with Engineering, Design, Project Management, and Production teams to integrate improvements throughout the product lifecycle
• Conducting failure analysis and root cause assessments to resolve product issues and define solution pathways
• Developing and testing prototypes with a focus on durability, mechanical efficiency, and field usability
• Researching and recommending updates to materials and manufacturing processes to improve product longevity and quality
• Ensuring all engineering improvements comply with relevant industry, Quality, and safety standards
• Documenting new procedures and contributing to the development of internal engineering standards
• Monitoring key performance indicators and reporting progress against defined goals
• Engaging in field trials and gathering user feedback to inform design refinements
• Supporting organizational improvement initiatives related to product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on engineering optimization
• Proficiency in 3D modeling and CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks)
• Working knowledge of engineering and manufacturing standards (e.g., API, ASME, ISO)
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities
• Experience managing engineering projects and implementing iterative design changes
• Creativity and technical acumen in developing durable and efficient mechanical products
• In-depth knowledge of industry design principles
• Familiarity with ERP systems; Acumatica experience preferred
• Knowledge of machining practices and components preferred

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related discipline
• Experience in product design, failure analysis, or performance optimization preferred
• Six Sigma certification or RCCA experience is preferred
• EIT or PE certification preferred
