Job Description: Finance Business Analyst
Location: Remote/Hybrid

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Analyst with a strong background in accounting and financial operations, and hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O). This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between Finance and Technology teams during a period of significant transformation. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of AR, AP, General Ledger, Tax, and FP&A, and demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and adapt to a new industry.

Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the primary liaison between Finance stakeholders and technical teams for D365-related initiatives.
* Analyze, document, and validate business and financial requirements for new or enhanced system functionality.
* Collaborate on the design and implementation of solutions across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Tax, Fixed Assets, GL, and Budgeting.
* Support D365 Finance & Operations configuration, testing, training, and adoption across the finance department.
* Conduct gap analysis and recommend improvements to financial processes and system workflows.
* Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure accuracy of financial data and reporting outputs.
* Assist in financial reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis through D365 and Power BI tools.
* Partner with cross-functional teams to support data integrity, compliance, and system optimization efforts.
* Document processes and support internal training sessions for finance end-users.
* Contribute to change management efforts related to ERP transitions, upgrades, and new functionality.

Qualifications
Required:
* 5+ years of experience as a Finance Business Analyst, Financial Systems Analyst, or similar role.
* Strong functional understanding of core financial processes including AR, AP, GL, Tax, and FP&A.
* Proven experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O).
* Hands-on involvement in at least one end-to-end ERP implementation or significant system upgrade.
* Ability to write clear business and functional requirement documents.
* Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Power BI, Power Query, or other reporting tools.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred:
* Background in Accounting or Finance (CPA, MBA Finance, or Accounting degree a plus).
* Experience working in or transitioning between different industries.
* Knowledge of data migration tools, D365's Data Management Framework (DMF), and Power Platform integrations.
* Familiarity with financial compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, GAAP, IFRS).
