Business Analyst

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Business Analyst for a contract assignment with one of our premier financial services clients in Tampa, FL & Columbus, OH.

Responsibilities :

• Serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and the technical team, ensuring that business requirements are accurately translated into functional specifications.
• The goal is to drive successful project outcomes by conducting thorough analysis.
• Perform process analysis and design solutions in response to client or operational needs
• Deliver business requirements, prepare testing plans and execute/oversee testing
• Co-operate closely with business stakeholders in hand with our Product, Technology partners and our clients, whilst ensuring the right infrastructure to align our vision and strategic goals
• Take proactive actions targeted at minimizing and mitigating implementation & projects risk
• Challenge the status quo, display initiative and innovation in coming up with solutions
• Perform root cause analysis of common operational problems
• Manage client and business ad-hoc queries and requirements
• Contribute to project plans that assess resource requirements and timescales for execution to ensure overall project timescales can be met
• Display appropriate involvement in Department initiatives & strategic planning

Required Skills:

• 2-3 years of experience as Business Analyst
• Good working knowledge of MS applications, especially Excel
• Fund Accounting experience is helpful
• Experience of working with asset management clients on a variety of investment fund vehicles
• Sound understanding of financial markets
• Knowledge of MS Visio, PowerBI and SQL is a definite asset
• Excellent organization and analytical skills
• Strong numerical skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate to a range of audiences
• Good working knowledge of MS applications
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight timescales
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently

Preferred Skills:

• Experience of working in Project teams desirable
