Based out of the United States (preferred locations: Pittsburgh, PA; San Diego, CA; Irvine, CA; Virginia Beach, VA; or Denver, CO ) you'll assist a team of project managers, scientists, geologists, and engineers in delivering environmental services on time and within budget for world class projects. You'll work with a knowledgeable and supportive group of professional staff as you conduct data analysis, visualization, and reporting; develop automation and models; and collaborate on projects to engineer data solutions that allow the delivery of innovation products.

The base salary range for this position is $40,000.00 to $60,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Here's what you'll need
- In pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or closely related field
- Must be at least a rising Junior
- Proficiency in Python, R, and/or SQL
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to work in one of the preferred locations for this internship ( Pittsburgh, PA; San Diego, CA; Irvine, CA; Virginia Beach, VA; or Denver, CO )
- Ideally, you'll also have:
- 3.0 GPA
- A previous internship related to your field of study
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management within Jacobs
- Self-driven time management and organizational skills
- Experience in data analysis and visualization techniques for environmental data and projects
- Experience with interactive web application frameworks such as RShiny or Streamlit
- Experience with document authoring frameworks such as RMarkdown or Quarto
- Knowledge of spatial data analysis and GIS fundamentals.
- Knowledge of database management principles
- Familiarity with development environments including Azure, Docker, and Linux
- Proficiency in C++, Java, Swift.
- Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence
