Lead Network & Cybersecurity Engineer

We have an immediate need for a Lead Network & Cybersecurity Engineer to join a retail company for a direct hire position. The Lead Enginer will manage one direct report and oversee the strategy nad execution of network and cybersecurity projects.

Location: Stillwater, MN (Hybrid, on an as needed basis)

This job expects to pay about $115,000-140,000

What You Will Do:


  • Act as a bidirectional liaison, coordinating Cub retail projects, designing network architecture changes, and collaborating with our 3rd party MSP (Accuative) and UNFI teams to ensure alignment with cybersecurity standards.
  • Oversee network upgrades, communicating impacts and outages to stakeholders, and guiding the retail team on integrating upgrades effectively.
  • Establish and maintain standard procedures for network management, guiding junior team members in executing tasks and implementing necessary changes.

What Gets You The Job:


  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in network setup, configuration, and maintenance, with a strong preference for experience with Fortinet (or similar) equipment.
  • Leadership experience preferred, including mentoring or leading small project teams.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and PCI, with CISSP certification considered a plus but not required.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders to ensure project deadlines and cybersecurity standards are met.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders and guide decision-making processes.
