Title: Network Monitoring Tools Administrator | AKIPS, Spectrum & Sate Seeker Specialist

Contract

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Network Monitoring Tools Administrator to manage, support, and optimize complex enterprise monitoring platforms including AKIPS, Spectrum, and Sate Seeker. This role demands strong expertise in network protocols, tool customization, integration, and infrastructure management to ensure robust and scalable monitoring solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, configure, and maintain AKIPS, Spectrum, and Sate Seeker network monitoring tools.
  • Perform device onboarding, installation, configuration, alarm/event customization, and performance tuning.
  • Develop, maintain, and tune monitoring policies, thresholds, and alerting mechanisms.
  • Plan and execute tools upgrades, migrations, and platform enhancements.
  • Manage infrastructure components, including Spectro Servers, OneClick servers, landscape management, and fault tolerance configurations.
  • Implement and manage high availability setups, scaling strategies, backups, and fault tolerance to ensure continuous availability.
  • Import device certifications, manage MIB imports, and develop custom device models.
  • Create and maintain custom scripts and implement policy changes for monitoring optimization and automation.
  • Integrate monitoring tools with ITSM and analytics platforms such as ServiceNow, Splunk, and CA Performance Management.
  • Understand complex network architecture and applications to optimize monitoring and alerting strategies.
  • Lead efforts for tool upgrades, migrations, and platform enhancements, collaborating closely with various IT teams.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience administering and supporting network monitoring tools like AKIPS, Spectrum, and Sate Seeker.
  • Deep understanding of SNMP, ICMP, and network protocols.
  • Expertise in device onboarding, configuration, alarm/event customization, and performance tuning.
  • Experience managing high availability, scaling, backup, and fault tolerance of monitoring infrastructures.
  • Ability to create and manage custom scripts for automation and optimization.
  • Strong skills in integrating monitoring tools with ServiceNow, Splunk, CA Performance Management, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with managing Spectro Servers, OneClick servers, and related components.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred:

  • Experience leading migration or upgrade projects for monitoring platforms.
  • Knowledge of network device certifications, MIB imports, and custom model development.
