We are seeking a Senior Principal Software Systems Engineer to lead the development of advanced software systems for medical devices, contributing to solutions that support clinicians and patients alike.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Principal Software Systems Engineer, you will:
  • Lead Innovation: Champion best practices in software systems development and lifecycle management, driving forward-thinking solutions in healthcare technology.
  • Provide Technical Leadership: Mentor and guide engineering teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Solve Complex Problems: Design and implement solutions to challenging software system issues, delivering high-quality results under tight timelines.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with commercial, clinical, and engineering teams to translate user needs into clear system requirements.
  • Manage Risk: Conduct thorough risk analyses for software systems, identifying hazards and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Define Testing Strategies: Partner with verification engineers to develop robust test plans and ensure traceability of requirements.
  • Participate in Design Reviews: Contribute to design reviews, offering insights to enhance product functionality and usability.
  • Drive Agile Execution: Estimate, plan, and deliver tasks using agile methodologies to keep projects on track.
  • Enhance Team Collaboration: Promote process improvements and technical mentorship across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support Design Transfer: Collaborate with manufacturing, service, and training teams to ensure smooth product integration.
  • Ensure Compliance: Maintain adherence to quality systems and regulatory standards throughout the product development lifecycle.


Requirements

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should bring:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical devices (preferred).
  • Familiarity with agile development and backlog management.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., medical devices, aerospace, automotive).
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
