Position Overview:

As a valued member of the analytics team with Valued Pharmacy Services (VPS), this position's main responsibility is supporting the Consulting team and pharmacists aligned with existing clients. These requests may include ad hoc reporting, utilization trend reports, plan performance reviews, and working with lead pharmacist to design strategies for cost savings. The Senior Consulting Analyst will work with advanced data technology to provide insights to support client's strategic goals. The position is dedicated exclusively to our Consulting team, and will work within a high-performing analytics team to improve both internal processes and external client outcomes.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develop processes and procedures to complete client facing consulting documents
2. Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to facilitate improved client outcomes
3. Collaborate with other highly skilled analytics colleagues to derive business insights from our data assets
4. Demonstrate curiosity to learn about enterprise initiatives that include data and business intelligence solutions
5. Produce a range of dashboards, reports, and presentations to help evaluate impact of real time healthcare costs
6. Proactively address any issues with data quality, accuracy, and completeness
7. Apply critical thinking to resolve data issues and combine data from multiple systems through tools such as SQL, Excel, PowerPoint, and Sisense
8. Work as part of the analytics team to ensure that consulting documents, data, and technical architecture of the delivered solutions matches business requirements and key performance metrics
9. Complete quality reviews to ensure accurate data management
10. Analyze larger Pharmacy Benefits data sets to develop key strategies for client to meet strategic goals

Minimum Requirements for Education, Experience, and Certifications/Licenses:
1. BA/BS in Mathematics/Statistics, Finance, Economics, or Computer Science
2. Prior experience in Pharmacy Benefits Data Analytics preferred
3. Use of data mining programs and data visualization platforms such as PowerBI or Tableau preferred

1. Strong personal organizational skills
2. Excellent research skills
3. Proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
4. Ability to analyze data and communicate findings clearly
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
6. Ability to function independently with minimal supervision
7. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet objectives and deadlines established by supervisor and clients, often with short turnaround times
8. Ability to interface with department staff, numerous internal departments, external customers, agents and subscribers.

Travel:

This position requires minimal travel.

The base salary range for this position is $80,000 $105,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
