Job Title: Senior Network Engineer
Location: Various Locations in United States (on Site)
Required Experience: 10+ Years
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our client onsite in New Jersey. This individual will play a key role in supporting and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure, with a focus on Cisco, Fortinet, F5, and check point, wireless technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in network deployments, particularly for acquisitions, and be capable of independently managing firewall configurations and network setups.
Required Qualifications:
- 10-15 years of experience in a senior network support or engineering role.
- Cisco networking equipment (routers, switches, wireless)
- Strong hands-on expertise with:
- Fortinet firewalls (FortiGate, FortiManager)
- F5 load balancers (LTM, GTM)
- Enterprise wireless networking
- Proven experience deploying networks for mergers and acquisitions.
- Solid understanding of network security, firewall policies, and VPN technologies.
- Ability to work independently onsite and manage projects with minimal supervision.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) or Fortinet NSE certifications.
- Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
- Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- 5-8 years of experience in traditional WAN and LAN using Cisco products (routing, switching, wireless) and protocols (such as MPLS, HSRP, VPC, Port-channels, Spanning Tree, SNMP)
- 5-8 years of experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco ASA, Global Protect VPN clients
- 5-8 years of experience with routing protocol (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF), QoS and traffic shaping
- Experience with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus line of switches and Cisco routers
- Experience with F5 Load Balancers
- Experience with Cisco ACI (Application Centric infrastructure) technologies and Nexus 9K
- AWS or other cloud infrastructure experience
- Understanding of Radius and AD authentication
- Experience with monitoring software such as Nagios products
