POSITION - SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER - PROJECT EXPERIENCE WITH AMERICAN GOVERNMENT PROJECTS

LOCATION - USA REMOTE (domestic travel up to 35%)

Role description:

Arcadis is looking to hire an Electrical Engineer to support the Places Design & Engineering group. The ideal candidate will be a well-experienced Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in facility design for United States Federal Agencies.

In this role, you will work directly with other Electrical Engineers, Engineers of other disciplines, Project Managers, clients, etc. on Federal Agency facility design projects. You will lead the electrical discipline of multiple concurrent projects through the pursuit, proposal, design, and construction phases.

This is a remote role but will require 35% domestic travel to service Federal clients and their projects.

Role accountabilities:
  • Lead design teams and mentor junior staff to develop construction-ready design packages of drawings and specifications with inter-discipline coordination
  • Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and safety standards such as NFPA, NEC, NESC, NETA, ANSI, IEEE, UL, UBC as well as international standards such as IEC, CE, EN, but especially federal agency standards such as UFC and UFGS
  • Develop budgets, proposals, schedules, project plans and staffing plans as well as Identify, qualify, and pursue potential clients and project opportunities. The ideal candidate would be well-networked with the American Federal Government Agencies
  • Fluency in design and modeling software that includes: Revit (must have), BIM, Autodesk Construction Cloud, AutoCAD, Elum Tools, SKM, Etap, EDSA, Easy Power, SpecsIntact (must have)
  • Travel to project sites for engineering site surveys, data collection for power system studies, electrical system audits, and collaboration with clients' team members
  • Skilled in designing facilities such as industrial, commercial, process (water, sanitary wastewater, industrial wastewater, fuel systems), EV charging infrastructure, transportation, and data centers, among others

Qualifications & Experience:
  • U.S. citizenship is required for this position as part of federal employment eligibility requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in electrical engineering with at least 10 to 15 years of experience in consulting engineering and performing facility design
  • Extensive experience producing IFC design packages for federal agency facilities.
  • Professional Engineering Licensure in the United States. Multiple state licenses are preferred
  • Strong communication skills related to presentations, project communications, and written documents.

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
