Description: One of our largest clients based out of Columbus, OH has and immediate need for a Principal IAM Engineer! This is a hybrid contract to hire opportunity with a competitive base pay and bonus upon conversion! **W2 only, no C2C**

IAM Principal Engineer

As an IAM Principal Engineer, you'll be responsible for the delivery and implementation of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) technologies across the organization. Your expertise will ensure compliance with security and privacy standards while providing seamless access management capabilities. Let's dive into the details:

Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Portfolio Manager to define IAM and CIAM program strategies, roadmaps, objectives, and key milestones. These initiatives drive business value and sustain IAM capabilities.
  • Architectural Alignment: Consult with IAM architects, Enterprise Architects, and Application Architects to refine implementation plans, ensuring alignment with established designs and patterns.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure that IAM services adhere to security, privacy, and industry standards.
  • Business Unit Collaboration: Work closely with business units during the implementation of Single Sign-On (SSO), Multifactor Authentication (MFA), and authentication policies for new systems.
  • Seamless Integration: Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate CIAM products seamlessly with existing systems and applications.
  • Vendor Management: Assist in evaluating and recommending new vendors and technologies related to IAM.
  • Leadership and Culture: Provide guidance to a team of CIAM engineers, fostering continuous learning and collaboration.
  • Security Incident Response: Lead the response to CIAM-related security incidents and implement necessary corrective actions.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Security.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years in Information Security or cross-functional department management.
  • Requirements Gathering: Demonstrated success in gathering requirements and delivering solutions.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory requirements and laws, including Payment Card Industry (PCI), Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
