Project Overview

The Ethics & Compliance Staff Analyst will support the department and play a central role for analyses, program coordination and ad hoc projects.

Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Data entry of NYPA and Canals employees ethics training completion in NYS database.
  • Interface with Technical Training Department on all ECO training initiatives, including ethics and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission compliance modules.
  • Administer ECO cases and data in Archer eGRC platform.
  • Coordinate Compliance Repository SharePoint reviews, certifications and workflows.
  • Verify and update Compliance Repository user account statuses and user access.
  • Monitor NYPA and Canals external websites for compliance with statutory posting requirements.
  • Support ECO with implementation of Committee Governance standards and other program needs.

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
  • Must maintain confidentiality and approach all matters with professionalism.
  • Flexibility in the prioritization of a continually changing workload.
  • Must be self-starter and able to multi-task to completion.
  • Exceptional communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive and difficult conversations with employees.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to facilitate stakeholder meetings and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Advanced analytical skills to assess project performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions is desirable
  • Demonstrable experience working in either the electric utility industry or a corporate/governmental environment with ethics or compliance responsibilities

  • 4 year degree
