Overview

The PepsiCo Food North America R&D Productivity Associate Engineer will lead the creation, development, qualification, and execution of Productivity initiatives. The Associate will apply engineering principles, project management skills and experimental design/analysis to create, evaluate and execute Productivity projects as well as build subject matter expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Identify productivity opportunities - These opportunities will include improvements in throughput, yield, and sustainability without compromising quality, product design or consumer acceptability.
  • Create project tactics and plans to quantify and develop identified opportunities - The Associate will create project plans including financial analysis and project management. The Associate will identify critical steps and identify key cross functional partners.
  • Apply sound engineering and science principles to address technical challenges - Most productivity problems will be resolved through the correct application of basic engineering principles.
  • Develop experimental designs and statistical analysis of results - Project decision will be based on statistical analysis of data.
  • Lead collaboration with cross-functional partners. Productivity opportunities will span many internal functions, such as Operations, Global Procurement, and Ops Finance.
  • Lead communication of results - recommendations and results will be shared in both written and verbal formats with FLNA Senior Leadership.

  • Ensure product design integrity while making big changes to big brands.
  • Create breakthrough innovation which can be leveraged across our global businesses.
  • Provide technical program leadership, while partnering with a team of R&D technical resources.
  • Expand experience on multiple brands and processes.
  • Drive business principles which define project successes.
  • Provide updates to key R&D and cross-functional executive leadership team members.
  • Develop understanding of how to incorporate business needs into technical decisions.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Operations, Purchasing and Finance to create new business opportunities.
  • Develop packaging solutions for established projects to help grow the business.
  • Maintain open communication and build strong relationships with internal & external teams.
  • Demonstrate an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, consumer driven environment.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $64,300 - $1,07,650.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Solid communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated capability to effectively manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and manage changing priorities.
  • Analytical and Innovative thinking
  • Experience in cross-functional projects/teams.
  • Willingness/ability to travel.
  • Experience in experimental design and analysis
