Position Title: LAN Architect/Engineering
Must Have
Technical/Functional Skills 1. 8 to 10 years of professional experience. 2. High-level teaming and communication skills to influence and persuade others. 3. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create and present concepts and recommendations to management. 4. Deep understanding of Internet Protocol (IP) addressing and Variable Length Subnet Mask (VLSM). 5. Extensive experience designing and implementing Cloud Networking Technologies and Solutions. 6. Strong experience with Monitoring and Alerting Tools: CloudWatch, Grafana, Zabbix, PagerDuty, Site24x7, Nagios. 7. Deep understanding of Local Area Network (LAN)
switching technologies including; VXLAN, ACI, fabric path, Spanning Tree, Virtual LAN (VLAN), and VLAN Trunking Protocol (VTP) concepts.
Experience Required 1. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher certification 2. Proficient with scripting technologies, including but not limited to Python, Ansible, Perl, and Terraform.
Roles & Responsibilities 1. Must have excellent communication and leadership skills. Needs to be confortable leading other Contingent Worker, Partners and site resources to the succesfull completion of network refreshes 2. Plan, configure, implement and document solutions in a complex network environment in support of new and existing cloud technology architectures. 3. Measurement, optimization, and tuning of network performance and ensuring that systems will run reliably and are highly available. 4. Support a Cisco centric WAN, LAN, and WLAN environment. This includes routers, firewalls, security, WLAN. 5. Deep understanding of network orchestration and automation 6. Build BOM, coordinate resources, track execution, and validate deployment/upgraded equipment/site. 7. Supervise and or performing site installs, maintenance, upgrades or software enhancements to support the network infrastructure needs. 8. | 11. Schedule and perform network maintenance, repair, and upgrade tasks as needed while limiting the impact on the production network. | |
| 12. Troubleshooting the routing protocols like BGP, EIGRP, Static and OSPF and work with the ISPs and internal teams to resolve the issues. | |
| 13. Experience working on CoS, QoS, WRED and related quality of service parameters. | |
| 14. Working knowledge on MPLS, Metro Ethernet and Hub & Spoke concepts. | |
| 15. Good Exposure to Cisco Software Defined Access (SDA), ISE, DNAC, Infoblox & Zscaler. | |
