Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead a large-scale, complex, and time-sensitive payments initiative. The ideal candidate will have deep domain expertise in card and payment processing, proven experience managing cross-functional teams, and a track record of successful program delivery in financial services. This role requires excellent stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and compliance adherence, along with strong technical and analytical capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end execution of payments initiatives, including:
New payment method integrations
Platform migrations
Regulatory compliance implementations (PCI-DSS, PSD2, AML/KYC)
Fraud and risk mitigation enhancements
Establish an integrated program plan with goals, high-level timelines, milestones, and dependencies.
Track and report on program scope, timelines, risks, and financials.
Manage program risks, issues, and changes proactively.
Ensure timely, clear, and precise communication with stakeholders at all levels.
Deliver regular status reports and steering committee presentations.
Partner with legal, compliance, finance, and external vendors to ensure alignment and governance.
Negotiate contracts and SLAs with payment processors, gateways, banks, and fintech partners.
Ensure compliance with local and international payment regulations.
Lead testing strategies, design test cases, execute UAT, and conduct workshops.
Serve as the primary liaison between technology teams, business units, and external partners.
Mandatory Skills
Strong technical background in payment processing systems, card management platforms, and related technologies.
End-to-end understanding of payment processes, including issuance, activation, and fulfillment.
Experience managing large, multi-track programs and handling dependencies.
Proven ability to formulate testing plans, design test cases, and execute UAT.
Ability to multitask, handle pressure, and engage with clients effectively.
Deep understanding of payment ecosystems, including processor and gateway interactions.
Desired Skills
Working knowledge of credit card platforms and payment gateways.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical skills to interpret data and guide decision-making.
Experience creating compelling presentations (PowerPoint).
Organized, proactive, and solution-oriented.
Hands-on knowledge of Jira, SAFe Agile methodology, software development, release planning, and migration processes.
Prior experience working with senior stakeholders in banks and financial institutions.
