About the Role
We re looking for a Quantum Software Engineer with a strong background in software development to build applications, libraries, and developer tools for quantum and hybrid computing. You ll translate quantum algorithms into usable, production-ready solutions and ensure seamless integration with cloud and enterprise systems.
Responsibilities
Design, code, and deploy quantum applications using frameworks like Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane, or AWS Braket.
Develop developer tools, APIs, and libraries to make quantum programming more accessible.
Integrate quantum solutions into hybrid classical/quantum workflows running on cloud infrastructure.
Optimize performance of quantum jobs through circuit compilation, error mitigation, and resource tuning.
Collaborate with product managers and applied researchers to turn prototypes into scalable, production-ready software.
Write clean, maintainable code with unit tests, CI/CD pipelines, and documentation.
Qualifications
BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD not required but welcome).
Strong programming skills in Python; familiarity with C++/Rust a plus.
Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.
Experience with quantum SDKs (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane, Braket) or eagerness to learn quickly.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Comfort with Agile workflows, Git, and modern development practices.
Preferred / Bonus Skills
Experience building SDKs, APIs, or developer tools.
Contributions to open-source quantum or HPC projects.
Exposure to distributed computing or GPU acceleration.
Understanding of basic quantum concepts (qubits, gates, circuits, error mitigation).
