Job Description

As a Director, Legal - Investigations, you will be responsible for contributing to and leading critical activities designed to fully implement the ServiceNow Code of Ethics. This position assumes a leadership role over internal investigations undertaken by the Ethics & Compliance organization within the Legal Department at ServiceNow. This role will work collaboratively with members of the Ethics & Compliance, Legal, Human Resources, Marketing, Alliance & Channel Ecosystem, and Sales teams at ServiceNow. The successful candidate must radiate a "can-do" attitude.

This position reports to the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer and will be based at a ServiceNow location in the United States. The successful candidate for this position will lead internal investigations undertaken by the Ethics & Compliance organization on a global basis.

What you get to do in this role:

Lead a broad range of global investigations related to potential violations of company policies or laws

Conduct interviews of reporters and witnesses, perform document reviews, and perform related research

Manage a team of Ethics & Compliance colleagues strategically located at global ServiceNow locations.

Track and manage the intake of allegations and ensure proper case set-up in the ServiceNow case management system

Ensure that internal investigations are conducted in accordance with existing policies and procedures

Prepare quarterly presentations for the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors

Maintain and assess data on trends and patterns of allegations and investigations

Issue reports regarding specific investigations for presentation to senior leadership

Collaborate with ServiceNow colleagues on a global basis

Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and government enforcement initiatives

As appropriate, partner with outside legal counsel on investigative strategies and tactics

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

Juris Doctor degree and admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

8+ years of relevant experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department of a technology company

Experience conducting global internal investigations related to legal, ethical, and compliance standards and obligations on behalf of U.S.-based companies (preferably publicly traded)

Experience representing companies involving government investigations and inquiries

Experience with SaaS and channel sales partners

Experience conducting electronic reviews using e-discovery platforms

Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders over multiple geographical locations

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask

Passion for overseeing a global team of investigations teammates

Proven ability to work independently and to complete projects in a timely fashion

Strong project management, organization, prioritization, and team management skills

Excellent verbal and written skills

Experience working with and partnering with cross-functional and cross-border teams on projects and initiatives that include global colleagues

High integrity to handle sensitive legal, confidential, and personal information

The ability to travel as necessary (estimated to be less than 10%)
