Role will require 1 weekend day every week (Saturday or Sunday. Weekend days are onsite.
Possible Schedules are Tuesday Saturday: 10:30AM - 6:30PM or Sunday Thursday: 10:30 AM 6:30 PM per team needs (After Oct shifts to 9:30 am 5:30 pm)
Position requires 5 days in the office per week in Salt Lake City.
As a Linux Administrator, you will be the Tier 1 / Tier 2 support of the Business systems in a 24x7 follow-the-sun model. This will entail alert management, OS troubleshooting, and working to restore service in a robust Enterprise Environment.
Monitoring of Linux/Unix systems
Troubleshooting of systems
Alert Management
Incident Management
Working with clients across our Business Units to maintain and restore service
Automation of activities through scripting and configuration management
Working with Hardware teams to maintain the physical server estate
Documentation of processes and procedures for the team
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Red Hat Linux Administration
3+ years of Unix/Linux systems administration experience
Strong core OS troubleshooting experience
Scripting experience in Shell, Bash, Perl and/or Python
Virtualization experience in VMware or OpenShift
Networking knowledge/skills
Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise-grade server hardware such as Client and Dell rackmount servers
Experience using remote management interfaces like Dell iDRAC, Client iLO, VMware vCenter/vSphere
An automation-first mindset
Incident management experience
Prior experience in the Financial Service Industry is a plus
Prior Enterprise experience is a plus
Relevant certifications are a strong plus
